On Monday 8 January 2024, after the regular Monday ceremony, certificates and medals were symbolically handed over to accomplished students of SMP Negeri 27 Jakarta by the Principal of SMP Negeri 27 Jakarta, Mr. H. Heru Purnomo, S.Pd. This activity was carried out in the main field of SMP Negeri 27 Jakarta Jl. Outer Ring of PTB Duren Sawit Road, East Jakarta. Students who excelled succeeded in making achievements in the fields of science (one person), taekwondo (three people), archery (one person) and one representative each from the futsal and basketball teams of SMP Negeri 27 Jakarta.
One of the students who received medal and certificate was Ajeng Salma Layla Amira from class VIII-E. On that occasion, Ajeng Salma Layla Amira received two medals at once; namely the bronze medal in The International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) 2023 science competition which held at Udayana University Bali in November 2023, and the gold medal in The 2023 DKI Jakarta Serie 5 Taekwondo League National Championship which held in September 2023 at the Ciracas Sports Hall, East Jakarta.
In his message, the Principal said that all pupils might continue to practice and strive persistently and diligently to achieve what they aspire to. An achievement will only be obtained with hard work and attitude of never giving up.
